Remember Graham golden sentence?

Today I saw some aunties holding a "property" book and discuss about property investment. It reminds me what graham said, "when a shoe boy talk about stock, it is a time to leave the market."

Malaysia property

I am working in a construction line. Recently I hear that many of the projects are selling hot. Some even sold out before the Architect's design come out. Developer now is selling concept instead of building. I even saw a property agent bring a cheque book come over to the sale gallery and on the spot buy more than 10 units.

I am wondering what is happening in our property market now? Is it too hot or just I have no enough money~ -_-"

my company is now handling more than 80 projects currently and yet the projects are still coming in. Do our boleh land really demand so many property? Where is the demand come from?

I am wondering what if BLR goes above 8%? How many people will die from this? However, I am hoping it will come one day, if not, I will never have a chance to buy a property.

Koon yew yin, the 2nd largest shareholder of XingQuan

Koon Yew Yin is the 2nd largest shareholder of XingQuan now, if you all go through the XingQuan annual report year 2010. You will notice Mr. Koon is not just having 15 million shares of XingQuan, beside this, his name also appear at the ranking 15 with around 1.5 million shares and ranking 30 with another 0.6 million shares. So the total will be around 17 million shares.

This is not the end of the story, if you carefully go through the 30 largest shareholders, you will notice one of his best friend also appear at the list. The guy is Mr. Tan Kit Pheng with around 4.1 million shares.

Other than that, there is another guy name called Tan Kit Yew. From the name, I believe he is one of the relative of Tan Kit Pheng. This guy is holding around 2 million shares.

With the total from three of them, they are holding around 23.1 million XingQuan's shares, which is 7.5% of the total shares.

Yinson 7293

It had secured an offshore services job worth some rm1 billion – more than 8 times its market cap of rm122 million as at 05 July 2011. The offshore services and logistics provider is set to bid for more contracts worth rm800 million. It is currently bidding for FSO platform supply vessel (PSV) and (AHTS) job locally and abroad, particularly Vietnam .

It is worth nothing that any successful tenders will add to its current order book of over rm1.2 billion, which includes the FSO job from PTSC worth some rm1 billion.

Yinson is a proxy for the Vietnam oil and gas play. It co owns a FSO with Petrovietnam and charter out two offshore support vessels. Yinson has a seven year contract from PetroVietnam to charter a 3000 dwt PSV and 5000 bhp of AHTS for its offshore venture in Vietnam .

Yinson is steadily turning from a commodity trader and logistics operator into an O&G play. 70% of Yinson’s earnings still come from commodity trading and logistics segment. In coming next five years, 80% will be from offshore services and O&G earnings to overtake those of its trading operations by 2014.

Power Root 7237

I have been a long time never watch TV already, today just open the TV to watch our 709 news, then surprise with the an advertisement of new chocolate product "Oligo".

The first flash come into my mind, "wah! NESTLE got challenger!!". I quickly go to google this new product. Then realize "Oligo" is a new product from Power Root.

Then I go to look for Power Root annual report, "Wah! last year dividend 10.7%!!".

If Power Root able to market this new product "Oligo" and can make a challenge to MILO, then Power Root will be next super star.

Will do some homework this coming week.
